Courtney Glover, Director of AU Centers Abroad, and Ivy Wang, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Education Academic Services, presented American University's Cornerstone Abroad program to prospective students and families. The presentation covered two pathways: the Madrid SIS Scholars Program for School of International Service majors in the fall semester, and the Cornerstone Dublin Program open to all majors in the spring semester. Both programs are full-year experiences designed to jumpstart international education during freshman year, with comprehensive academic support, cultural excursions, and residential experiences at AU's centers abroad. The presenters explained program costs, requirements, housing arrangements, and how financial aid follows students seamlessly on these programs. They addressed questions about language requirements, application processes, and internship opportunities, clarifying that while internships aren't guaranteed, the AU Career Center provides extensive support for students seeking placements.
