This webinar was hosted by Jeremy Lowe, Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions, to provide information about the American University community to incoming students and their families. The session featured colleagues from various departments including New Student and Family Programs, Undergraduate Education, Housing & Residence Life, and AU Central. Key topics covered included New Student Orientation scheduled for August 25-28, academic advising processes starting in May, housing options and requirements including a two-year on-campus living agreement, and the new Meet Our Moment strategic plan featuring pledges for readiness, community, and curiosity. The panel addressed questions about living learning communities, move-in procedures, transportation, and billing processes, with particular emphasis on the importance of checking AU email accounts regularly for important updates and communications.
